OUT
OF THE DEPTHS
Psalm 130
Out
of the depths, I have cried to You, O Lord;
Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive to the voice of
my supplications.
If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope.
My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning;
Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.
O Israel, hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is mercy,
And with Him is abundant redemption.
And He shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

SCIENTIFIC
RESEARCH
on Homosexuality ...
Is it in our genes? Or is it learned
behavior?

BORN GAY?
Good Question.

Dr.
Neil Whitehead and his wife Briar write in their book, MY GENES
MADE ME DO IT, that there is no conclusive scientific evidence
at this time, to prove that there is any genetic component which
causes homosexuality. He concludes that both heterosexuality and
homosexuality are learned behaviors.
Topics
such as studies of identical twins, examination of different cultures,
and considerations of the effects of pre-natal hormonal exposure
are discussed by the authors. Dr. Whitehead is a research scientist
with a PH.D in biochemistry. He and Briar spent over 8 years researching
homosexuality.
In
another study, Dr. Robert Spitzer of Columbia University, New
York City, completed a study in May 2001, regarding homosexuality
and the possibility of change. Dr. Spitzer was instrumental in
the deletion of homosexuality as a disorder from the Diagnostic
Manual used by professionals in the mental health field for diagnosis.
He decided to study the issue for himself and found that 44% of
the women studied and 60% of the men were successful at changing
their orientation from homosexual to heterosexual.
He
found that they had made a happy adjustment and were not just
controlling their homosexual behavior. I had the privilege of
participating in that study, and by God's grace, am part of that
44% of women who made the transition.
